Hey guys, I'm trying to take a streaming WMA, and save it as a MP3. I've looked everywhere for a free solution. Any ideas?

there are some applications which catch the stream and save the file to the computer. apps such as

    wmr pro,

an alternative which works for every audio is record it by selecting the 'wave/mp3' or the 'stereo mix' check box in the volume controls recording section and just use an audio recording software to record the audio.

when using this method you have to make sure the volume doesn't reach the volume peaks. (you'll find out what i mean when you use this method and a decent recording software). because if you don't the audio will have distortion. the sound recording application will tell you the same so you can pretty much ignore this paragraph because the app will explain it better and you'll be able to see what i mean.

the second method will record anything you hear out of your speakers which means don't play any other sound.
