Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to import wmv 9 series vids into premier 6 and if so where to get the software addon? Premier 6 has plenty of options for export in .wmv but is this really only export for anything recent in .wmv? If not, can anyone reccomend a reliable prog to convert from .wmv to something premier will handle preferably without any quality loss? cheers
Well I know that Premier 7 pro Imports WMV/ASF Files as Long as you have the WMV Codecs installed But I"m not sure about Premier 6...You can convert your WMV/ASF Files to AVI Format useing the HuffYUV Codec and have No Quality Loss but that is only if you use the HuffYUV Codec and the Files Will be Quite Large compared to other AVI compression Schemes But the Quality will Be No Differance than the Original WMV/ASF File...I use a Very Simple Program called "Stoik Video Converter 1.1" to convert ASF/WMV to AVI or WMV Formats..It is a Freeware program and it also lets you Change the resolution and Framerate of the File when makeing an AVI...You should be able to download it here : http://wcarchive.cdrom.com/pub/bws/bws_47/StoikVideoConverter10.zip .....Cheers PS: you can get the Huffyuv codec here : http://neuron2.net/www.math.berkeley.edu/benrg/huffyuv-2.1.1.zip
