I have this file with an .wmv extension, GSpot tells me the Codec is WMV1 , the Name is WMP v7. I've played the video file on VLC, and it did play it, but I'm looking for converting it to an AVi/DiVX file. So if you have any information?
Try loading or dragging the file into Avidemux. Set Video => XviD Audio => mp3 Format => AVI Then click the 'Save' logo and give the new file a name (including extension) e.g newfile.avi http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/avidemux.cfm
