    Hey everyone,

I'm collecting videos of things online.
I notice some a lot of sites have two kinds of formats for you.
    .wmv and .mov

If there isn't much file size difference. Which is better to get?

.MOV: I like these because when you play them in quicktime you can use the arrow keys to move back and forth by frames! That's really cool and I can't figure out a way for .wmvs to do that! Anyone know how to do that with .wmvs?

.WMV: I like these because sometimes I find the file sizes are smaller and they don't look THAT much different than the quality of the .mov. These also have a little preview picture when you set your folder options to thumbnails. I see a lot of people use these...

So...tell me which files are better for what types of things?

    Which format wins in quality?
Which one would be better to have if you wanted to use the footage to edit in programs like adobe after effects?
    Which is more compatible?
    Which is more convenient?

An example of a site I usually download videos from is gametrailers.com.

They always have both types of videos! I never know which is better to have.

    Thanks for the help.
