i've been burning movies for over a year and no problems so far. i recently let my mother in law borrow acouple movies which she has before and worked fine. But the recent movies i lent her won't work but still work on mine. i've been using the same media since i started burning movies. She still has the same dvd player she had before, what could be the problem?
Mothers in law...dont we just love them..strange same thing has happened with my sister, cannot offer any explinations
things i would check are the media id codes of ones that do play against ones that dont play! drive may need cleaning???
like rotary said, use the identifier, id your media, to see what it really is. by the way, what was your choice of said media that will no longer play? i bet it was the dreaded memorex, and there lies your problem. using better media will fix your problems.
Are there any lawyers in the house? Why doesn't someone put together a class action suit against Memorex? I'll bet half their profit margin is from product that doesn't work! I think their manufacturer is in China so I doubt you could sue them without getting wacked by a Party hit man.
