won't recognized?

    today just received DVD+R DL and trying to burn some pc games, unfortunately my dvd drive won't recogniz the disk, although on the dvd tray, it indicates "DVD+R DL", but when i put in the 8.5 gb disk, nothing comes up, is that anything setting i should adjust. i have Hp Media Center PC, 7060n is the model, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    try using a burning program?

    yes, i had use ULTRAISO, POWERISO, they both have 8.5gb burning function,
