Hey, I don't rly give if no1 likes them, but Blink 182 rock.Has any1 got the album Cheshire Cat? It kicks ass.So do the Offspring. How cool is the song One Fine Day???!!!
Noodles is such a total dude.
P.S. I'm not one of those freaks that only likes Blink cos Tom is hot. Their music is cool, even if they do only have simple melodies.

Brian's right! Blink 182 is crap. To each his/her own I suppose. I'm more into metal myself. Iced Earth, Yngwie Malmsteen, Children of Bodom, Pantara, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin. The list goes on! But just thought I'd list some GOOD bands.

    Cheers,

Thanks Hunter, I dont particulary like your taste of music, but at least it offers far more than Blimp182, each to his own.

I prefer the proper punk bands from the days when "punk" meant summat more than 3 smucks pratting about on stage, and catering for the "simple minded".

Bands include Joy Division, The Punishment of Luxury, The Flux of Pink Indians, Bauhaus.

You won't find any of them on trendy MTV2, thank god.

    Nephilim mate

I am impressed with your list, especially The pogues & The Pixies!!! These 2 bands could kick serious arse!!

Brings a tear to me eyes maty, all them memories.

I saw The Clash back in 1979 they were some live band. I used to nip off to London after work 3 or 4 nights a week for gigs in them days. What I wouldnt give to go back and do it all, exactly the same, again.

Do you remember any of these?

    The ruts
    The Lurkers
    UK Subs
    The Meteors
    The Cramps
    The Stranglers
    The Undertones'
    The Rezillos/Revillos
    Half man half biscuit
    The Monochrome set
    The Ramones
    The Smiths
    The Slits

Ya gotta love The Pogues. All those guys and not enough teeth to fill one mouth! They sure put out some great music though. The Pixies, man oh man, what a great band. I just read not too long ago that they were touring again.

I remember many of the bands you listed, especially The Cramps :) "Bad Music For Bad People" was always one of my favorites.

I've been rediscovering many of the old American punk bands I used to listen to like The Meatmen, The Dead Milkmen, Minor Threat, Black Flag, Husker Du and Dead Kennedy's.

I just picked up the first five Echo & The Bunnymen albums remastered, the first four Peter Gabriel albums remastered, two 2-disc compilations from Einsturzende Neubauten and some outstanding indie I found here:

If you like indie check 'em out :)

Thanks for the link, looks like good music is still alive.

I have a golden oldie you may well enjoy looking up, it really is as classic. "Ian Dury & The blockheads - New Boots & panties". If you havent heard it it's well worth a punt. Apologies if you already own it (probable)

I am staggered that your list contains "Billy Bragg". That chap was (and still is) a raving left wing socialist back in the 70's. How on earth did you get to track him down being based in the States?

TECHNO!! YEAH!! TECHNO!!! YES YES YES!!

I'm a big fan of Thrash and Death metal, and I listen to bands like Pantera (as billy mentioned) and Cannibal Corpse.

A couple of months earlier I found a great but unknown band called Bolt Thrower. Anyone else heard of them?

I've had them for some time now and don't even remember how I found them. A lot of the music I listen to isn't easy to find so I got pretty good at tracking stuff down :) I've not heard of Ian Dury & The Blockheads but on your recommendation I will definitely check them out.

I've listened to them! Heavy stuff. Although I'm not a real big death/thrash metal fan I've listened to the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Bolt Thrower, King Diamond, Napalm Death, Celtic Frost, Stormtroopers of Death, Corrosion of Conformity and Cro-Mags.

The only death metal I bought and kept was Morgoth's album "Cursed". I got rid of it and it's an absolute bitch to try and find now :(
