I might add a drawer to the design but first i have to remeasure.

Heres pics for the room shelf

Each pillar is about 5-6 feet apart, 4 in all holding up a 24 inch wide by 24 feet long self.

Working on a dresser design as well and use I can dovetail damnit!!!

Oh BTW I love google sketch >>

PS I have a router as well and will bevel most of the hard edges!!

don't need all that frame work as most of it can be done with veneired plywood or particle board.

is just as strong but lighter without all that framework. only need the framework for the front end to support the doors & for the drawers.

Eh mabye the trouble with plywood is it sucks when you anchor a screw in it and I do not want any screws to be seen on the outside and keep nails down to a minimum as well, if I could get 1X48 by 10 feet then I would have no trouble in building it without framing.

I could put 1X12s together via doles and wood glue, thats an option.

If I went with finishing nails and 1bys in the corners to hold it together it would work but I would need a nail on each side every inch or so or a mix of doles and nails.

I've got the room shelf to do first so it gets crap put of my way then I can reexsamain the armwar build, off I could just build the doors out of 1x12s too :X

Also this design was before I got doles and sht to play with so all I had where 2X and 1X and very thin lueon or whatever plywood. I got some CBX around thats 4 or 5 times thicker mmmm. Hell I could build it without nails or screws(angle dole kit FTW) but meh one thing at a time.

can use pocket screws for the front framework & you would not see them from outside of the cabinet. can use biscuits with wood glue in slots in the plywood & frame to bond together. any nailing would either be from the sides or toenailing on the inside.

yes you do as your router will do biscuit slots. the biscuits can be bought at a hardware store or home improvement store.

as long as can use 1 cutter at a time & is as thick as a biscuit then yes. if have a table saw then can use it to make slots. seen norm on the new yankee workshop tv program do that.

Dude hes a vocie in my head >>

Ya drop the blade till its the half the width of the biscuit.

Of course brain forgets half of the crap I watched for years and years hell This old house and new yankee workshop where staples of my TV watching when I was a kid/teen.

Anyway stupid needs a easy flawless way to do it as stupid tends to screw up easily.
