hey everyone this dvd burning thing is new to me and i was curious as to the approx. time it takes you guys to burn a whole 4.7g disk and what speed it is writing at. i have a 16x drive and dvd decrypter is saying that it is writing at about 700kb/s or (0.5x) is that correct or do i have something set up wrong?

Make sure your drives are in DMA mode and not in PIO mode.

If it is in PIO mode then the processor is doing the work. So read times and write times can slow down dramatically.

Go to the link below which explains a little more about this and how to fix the problem if your drive is set to PIO mode.
