well..title says alot of it,i was asked by some one to take a look at their pc, "its getting slow" they said, and yeh beleive me the start up takes a while..AND also they've been sending weird e mails.. like this one im gonna show you.

The internet conection "stopped working" a few weeks ago, the themes were changed and also "when we have this we just reistall xp, but this it would'nt let us"..they said.

what im going to do is run scans on the machine with a few trusty anti spywares and anti viruses and get a HijackThis log made and fix what needs fixing, then ill see what i can do from there.

anyway from this e mail i was shown, looks like to me he was hacked.

Not to change the subject but this is a perfect example of why you need to keep your pc "clean". I also recently repaired a pc for a good friend of mine ( i ended up re-installing windows) but before i re-installed I did a spyware scan. Ad-Aware found a program that had downloaded numerous porn movies and was using his pc as a server! He had a 6mbps Cable internet connection with no Anti-spyware/Anti-Virus and he had disabled windows built in firewall because it slowed his downloads. People need to know that this can happen to anyone you dont have to go to "iffy" sites to have your pc become "infected".

I fixed his pc, took ages cleaning it out and we reinstalled xp just to be safer, its now running well.

That email was a Prank!! but its possible to recive simlier ones that are more serious, once i had to deal with a infected pc that was sending important info out to all sorts of dating companys etc.

LOL just for a laugh heres the site where you can get similer pranks..

heres what i sent to my cuisen.
