open windows task manager by pressing Ctrl/Alt/Delete simultaneously. Then click on the processes tab, search for 'wupdater' right click on it and end process. Now you can delete the file as it will no longer be in use.

This piece of malware is gonna come right back on when you reboot your PC ! -- It is usually picked up on web sites like Kazaa, WinMx, Emule and the likes !

Those here are REMOVERS -- they will not prevent you from getting it again !

Here's the cream of the crop :-

    Spybot S&D at:- http://www.safer-networking.org/?page=download

    Ad-aware SE at:- http://www.lavasoft.de/

    Aluria Spyware Eliminator at:- http://www.aluriasoftware.com/homeproducts/spyware/

    SpySweeper at:- http://www.webroot.com/land/land-spysweeper6_6.php?rc=325

Those 4 programs should take care of any trojans/virus/bots/malware -- HOWEVER should you be infected by one that is very NEW -- You should visit the specialists at :-

    http://forums.spywareinfo.com/index.php?showtopic=227

Where AFTER you have used the above programs and had no results -- you will be helped. Follow the rules on that site and be patient , me and others there are sometimes overloaded

also check your msconfig/startup if you know how to do it & uncheck the wupdater.exe hit apply & restart computer but also run anti-spyware programs such as Adaware 6 from Lavasoft & your antivirus program to make certain system is clean
