    A 32 lcd hdtv with 1000/1 contrast ratio and 420cd/m2 brightness or a 32 lcd hdtv with 8000/1 contrast ratio and 500cd/m2 brightness.

    Go for option two...the images quality is A LOT better when you play HD files! Trust me!

    Honestly, it depends entirely on the build quality of the TV. IT also depends on the viewing environment, and personal preference.
