u really don't even have 2 look 4 it, all i was really asking was what software came installed on the disc already? shit, so far customer service is killing modchipstore.com. Man, I SUBMITED A TICKET ASKING WHY THEY DIDN'T HAVE A CONTACT NUMBER AND WHY THEY DIDN'T ANSWER MY E-MAILS AND THEY DELETED THE TICKET TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT WASN'T EVEN THERE. WHAT KIND OF SHIT IS THAT
Can you clearify your last post. I think some ppl think you are talking about us when you are talking about Modchipstore.com. Thanks.
modchipworld is actually one of the better companies to purchase from; plus, you won't find clones being sold as the real thing there eather.
I now see what the creator of the thread was talking about. But, its not really modchipworld you should direct your anger towards. Its whoever shiped it. I sent mine threw standard shipping. And it is still sitting in customs. This is rediculous. I called UPS to see what the hold up is and they said that "this is normal clearance procedure." I was supposed to get my package on monday....................but its still sittin in that fusking customs office way in detroit. And I live in Texas. Now there is no telling when I will recieve my shit. It's just a xbox. Why are they holding my shit. I should have ordered overnite. So, if anybody is ordering from a company thats not located in the uninted states.........GET OVERNITE. Because if you don't, there is no tellin when you will get what you ordered. Always call there number before you order from them. That way you know its in stock. Plus, you should alway try 2 speak w/ anybody you buy from. Don't just order, always inquire! But as far as modchipworld...........they shipped it within a day. Its the shipping that holds everything up. And when it FINALLY gets here hopefully It will work 100%. If so, i'll probably get a promodded ps2 as well(since my old PS2 doesn't even work anymore
take a look at this thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/181099 now this is a clear example of bad customer service, heh
By the time customs decide 2 let go of my system. I won't even have time 2 play it. They gettin on my nerves
Hi, we contacted UPS today and your xbox should be released soon. They just needed some information from you. I guess you have provided them with that info?
thank you for going through the trouble. But they haven't contacted me for any information or anything. And I just checked the status. And they haven't even updated the status today. I will call them again tommorrow if I don't see any updates.
Whats up ya'll. I recieved my package today. So now I will inform everyone of my experience so far(as I promised). So far..................................... I am very pleased with my product. I'm still learning the in and outs of it and all. But so far, so good. They shipped it right away, but beware of those F******* Assholes at customs that hold on and "inspect" your product. But Finally i recieved. At first I could not get my activate the chip. I called the person at the 1 800 number that the site give and asked him exactly what I had to do. And like the person who made this thread stated, he IS rude. No, he didn't curse me out or anyting. But he had a very dissmisive attitude as soon as he started talking. I could tell he didn't like to talk, seems like he trying to get off the phone as fast as he could. He made it seem like he didn't wanna be bothered at all, and that my friend is bad for customer service. And on top of that he didn't speak english very well. You should always have a friendly tone, that will make customers feel like apprecieated and not like they are an annoyance. But besides that the xbox works fine so far. The presentation was pretty good too. The box was in perfect condtion. If i didn't know any better. I would have thought it was a regular xbox. So overall i give modchipworld.com a 4.5/5. I had to deduct something because of the person that you have working at customer service. I will write a full review on your site tommorrow. Or as soon as I get a chance.
We applogise if it seems that you are rushed but you called after hours (our hours are 11:00 am to 6 pm EST). The fellow is not rude but English is not his first Language (after hours only our technicians are in the office, the sales reps are all gone). Next time, call during office hours and you will get one of our sales reps. However, you might have been in luck anyways because you got a hold of the technicians directly so he could help you with the technical questions. Finally, did the Tech answer all the questions that you have? Cheers, Modchipworld
Yea, he answered my question. And like I said earlier. I am pretty much happy with everything so far. sorry about calling after hours. But i get off of work at 6am. So by the time I get home it is after hours.
Since there's whole thread dedicated to this place, i'm going to chime in on my opinion of modchipworld.com also. On the 20th of last month I ordered a chip from them. They sent me an email stating that my order was "processing". I'll just post the content of an email I sent a week later trying to clarify whether or not my order had been shipped yet. ================================================================= Sent: Tuesday, February 28, 2006 Subject: Re: Order Update > > I was curious if there are any updates on the status of my order. The last > update said the status was "Processing", that was a week ago. I was > wondering if it has been mailed yet, and if so, is there a tracking > number? > > I'm not an impatient person, but, like I said, i'm just curious as to my > orders status. Thanks in advance for the help. ==================================================================== I don't think that was rude at all. I was trying to figure out whether or not my order had even been shipped or what as I wasn't quite clear on exactly what "processing" meant. Does it mean it has yet to be shipped? Does it mean it's in the mail, on the way? Does it mean they don't even have the chip and are waiting for it? Two days later. Still no reply. I sent another email, and I made it as simple as possible. It was two words. =================================================================== Date: Wednesday, March 1, 2006 Subject: Re: Order Update > Date Ordered: Monday 20 February, 2006 > > The comments for your order are > > > > > > Your order has been updated to the following status. > > New status: Processing > > Please reply to this email if you have any questions. > Any updates? ====================================================================== Today, four days after the original email asking if my chip had been shipped yet, two replies. Here's the reply to my first email... ====================================================================== Date: Thursday, March 2, 2006 1:42 PM Subject: Re: Order Update Yes, it is being shipped out by post. If you want faster shipping next time please choose UPS and a UPS address. ====================================================================== Now, is it just me, or did that seem a bit snide? After all I just wanted to know if it had been shipped yet. Since I hadn't heard anything in a week. Every other place i've ever ordered from emails me and tells me when my product has been shipped. I guess I just got spoiled with a certain high degree of customer service from other modchip vendors. Here's the reply to my second email "any updates"... ====================================================================== Date: Thursday, March 2, 2006 2:37 PM Subject: Re: Order Update To be shipped out via post. ======================================================================= So basically, it hasn't even been shipped yet. Now if the holdup had been the fault of the shipping service or customs, then ok, I understand. If I had wanted superfast shipping I would have payed for it. But the problem here, is that the good people at modchipworld haven't even got around to even placing it in the mail yet. My money was sent to them in a matter of seconds. Is it too much to expect that someone at modchipworld could have drove to the local post office and placed my package into the mail system? Since the 20th of last month? So here I am, still waiting for my chip, knowing that it will be that much longer for it to come. The most annoying thing will be if the gamecube case that I ordered from another modchip vendor (via the cheapest shipping method too, btw) a week after I ordered my chip from modchipworld comes before my chip. [bold]**Edit**[/bold] Well the gamecube case did come yesterday (3-6-06, from Canada also), still no chip. Tomorrow is two weeks from the shipping date so we shall see if it is here at that time.[bold]**Edit**[/bold] [bold]**Update** Friday, March 10th, 2006 **Update**[/bold] This will be the end of my review of Modchipworld.com. I am going to share my personal impressions of the service I have received thus far in the hopes that it may be useful to somebody. As I stated above the customer service I had received from this business was lackluster, to say the least. But after posting my complaint here, things did start happening, as anybody can tell by reading the posts following this. MCWadmin told me that the modchip was actually sent on the 22nd of Feb. And that the package can take up to two weeks. He also mentioned that if the item is lost, to contact him. I told him if it wasn't received by two weeks from the supposed shipping date, I would take him up on his offer to reship it. Two weeks came. In that time I had another, larger, package (the Gamecube case), from another modchip vendor, arrive from Canada. It was shipped via the same method modchipworld used, and a week later then the date modchipworld claims it originally shipped my package. I do have to say that it came from the whole other side of Canada, so that does need to be taken into account. BUT it is still odd to me that a smaller package that was purportedly sent on the 22nd of last month has yet to arrive here, beyond the (up to) two weeks it takes a package to get from there to here. Like I said, two weeks came, it was time to call the number MCWadmin gave me. I did. I was met by a rushed sounding Canadian man. I explained to him who I was, and why I was calling. At that point his rushed attitude changed to a rushed, annoyed attitude, with an underlying hostility. That was fine by me, I’m a grown man, I’m used to dealing with unsavory people. Down to business. The guy told me he was going to send me a replacement chip for the one that never arrived via UPS Overnight. That sounded like a capital idea, a way to hurry up and resolve this problem. A way to show that fast, reliable shipping is a priority of Modchipworld. BUT….there was one small problem with this shipping method that I felt I needed to bring up with the guy before he hung up, which is what he seemed to be in a hurry to do. The only address he had was my PO Box, which, as far as I know, UPS does not ship to. I do not have anything mailed to my home address if at all possible. So I had to interrupt him (the audacity of me, I know) to explain that he would have to ship it to another address. I was met with more underlying attitude as he told me to email him my shipping information. I sent the email with my shipping address information. ===================================================================== Date: Wednesday, March 8, 2006 2:05 PM In regards to you asking me over the phone to provide you with a UPS shippable address so that you can send me a replacement Xeno GC chip VIA UPS overnight shipping, to replace the one that was lost during mailing, my UPS shipable address is **like I would seriously post it on Afterdawn. lol.** Please send me an email when you ship the package so that I know it was shipped, and hence, when to expect it. Thank you for your help in rectifying this problem. ====================================================================== I received this email in response… ====================================================================== Date: Wednesday, March 8, 2006 2:13 PM Your tracking number is as follows: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx By UPS. I am personally shipping it out today. ====================================================================== Great! Finally, right? It’s getting done. I was promised overnight shipping, so I know I should be getting it soon. Even with a potential customs delay. BUT…..that’s not quite how it turned out. Upon checking on the status of the shipment via the tracking number I note something….The service type is “Service Type: STANDARD” and the estimated delivery date is “Delivery: 03/15/2006”. That is not overnight service. Or even close to it. After all the poor service I had received up to this point, I had hoped it was going to end on a positive note. I hoped wrong. My final dealings with modchipworld ended with me being deceived about the shipping method. This leads me to some concluding thoughts about all that has transpired in my dealing with this business. I’ll start with my suspicion. Suspicion: This is my suspicion, I have no proof to verify it. If I did, it wouldn’t be a suspicion, it would be fact. I suspect that my modchip was not sent on the 22nd of February but that it was actually sent on the shipping date that was added after my conversation here with MCWadmin “03/03/2006 Shipped”. I think Modchipworld realized it had made a mistake. And shipped it late while telling me that it had actually been sent on the 22nd. In other words I think I was deceived. Time will tell. Now, I will convey the facts, as I know them, of my business transaction with Modchipworld.com. Fact: I ordered and paid for a Xeno GC modchip from Modchipworld.com on 02/20/2006. Fact: That same day I received two emails from Modchipworld. The first one stated that my order was “pending”, the second stated that my order was “processing”. Fact: On 02/28/06 I sent an email to Modchipworld inquiring about the status of my order, as I had heard nothing from them since the 20th. Fact: On 03/01/06 I sent another email inquiring as to whether or not there were any updates on the status of my order, as I had not gotten a response to the first email. Fact: On 03/02/06 I received a highly unsatisfactory and IMO snide response to my first email. On that same day I also received a response to my second email inquiry which stated that my package had yet to be shipped. Fact: Also on 03/02/06 I posted my opinion of Modchipworld’s lackluster service in this thread, as it was entitled www.modchipworld.com and had to do with the poor experiences people had with this business. It seemed like the proper place to post. Fact: On 03/03/06 I was told by MCWadmin that my package had been mailed on the 22nd of Feb could take “up to” two weeks from the supposed original shipping date to reach me, and that if I didn’t receive my package to contact him and we could arrange something. I accepted these terms as they were totally reasonable and seemed to be in line with a representative of a business trying to rectify a mistake that had been made during a business transaction. Fact: On 03/08/06 , two weeks after the original package was supposedly sent to me, and past the maximum amount of time it should have taken to get to me (according to MCWadmin), I contacted Modchipworlds customer service, as per MCWadmins instructions, to arrange for another Xeno GC to be sent to me. I was met with somewhat rude customer service. Once again. I was also deceived as to the method of shipping for which my replacement product was supposed to be shipped by. All in all my transaction with Modchipworld has been a poor experience. I wish that it had been otherwise, I wish I could be here right now telling everybody something like “Modchipworld is great! Fast shipping! Great customer service! I would do business with them anytime!”, I would prefer that. But it didn’t work out that way. I feel that it would be a disservice to any anybody reading this for me to give Modchipworld anything but a negative review. [bold]Modchipworld.com Shipping practices=Bad Customer service=Bad Malcdogg’s overall rating: 3 out of 10[/bold] And that’s all. Somehow I get the feeling that MCWadmin isn’t going to be happy with this review. I’m not happy with it either. I’d rather be using my Xeno GC right now rather then using my time typing this. I’m done. **Edit** [bold]FINALLY[/bold] received my Xeno GC today! It ONLY took almost a month ::insert sarcasm here::. The chip itself was easy as heck to install and works like a charm so far. I can finally put this whole bad experience behind me.**Edit**
I bought a 15dollar chip from divineo and after taxes shipping and a bunch of other charges payed 37 dollars. But i had the fastest shipping available and i also payed by cash which is a great idea since some people dont have credit cards because of their age. Well it came in like 5 days i was happy but my tracking number never worked . BUt they are a good company tough.
