Are you talking about the screw or the washer? The screw may be in your xbox already, if it is a solder less mod then there is no screw, its an existing screw in the xbox. If its the washer then the washer may have become lodged between the board and the 9V holding bracket, (or you lost it), if your mod came with a programmer. If you are looking for a replacement screw because you striped the threads in the xbox then search this site and you will find your answer (the screw can be purchased at a hardware store). If you are looking for the washer (you can also purchase at a hardware store). The washer should be of external star design and be as thick as the pogo pin adaptors base. The size should be big enough to accommodate the screw but not any bigger. The washer should not extend over the silver trace pattern on the xbox main board, if it does a short can occur (and you don’t want that!). There is also posts here that tell you how to “bolt” on the mod, and what parts you would need and how to do it. Good luck!

    I had purchased the X-Ecuter 2.2 LITE[+] X2LITEPLUS
    from the following website:
    System-Mod Technologies
    http://www.system-mods.com

The package is suppose to come with a screw, washer and the mod chip. As I had said before, I did not recieve the SCREW should have come along with the package.

I need the dimensions of the screw because I have already tried various screws but none have been able to hold the mod chip securely in place. If you know the dimensions of it, please let me know. Also, someone mentioned something about "bolt"ing on the chip. How would you do that, can someone direct to where that information is on the web.

Just wanted to add some more information:

I know the mod chip works, because it worked when I held the chip in place with my thumb.. the xectuer thing came up and asked for the flash bios.

I had contacted Systems Mods about my situation but they have not been helpful and are now ignoring me. They responded to my first email promptly and aplogoized, asked me to fill an RMA form and told me that the screw would be sent asap. I did what they ask, but after a week, heard nothing from them. Tried contacting the RMA people but their email address was inactive, so I had to respond back to the helpdesk. They have ignored my messages and have not gotten back to me since the first response. It has now been over a month.

i think it may be a spare screw you can sometimes use the screw thats on your xbox motherboard it should really be the same size as that anyway the most important thing is the star shaped washer also make sure you don't tighten the screw too much and make sure the switch is plugged into the modchip before fitting

The screw in question should be one of the ones that holds your mobo in place. if you are missing one then you should take one of the others, there are like 16 or something and I'm sure you can live without a couple.

I've tried using the motherboard screw.. it's too big and doesnt hold it in place tight. Someone mentioned a bolting method... how would I go about bolting it in? I'm getting attempted to use crazy glue but that will probably be a bad idea.. please anyone help me!!!!

I dont get how your screw cant hold the thing in place as it should tighten down all the way, with or without anything extra in there. My only thught is that you sometimes get grippy bits (kind of like wavey washers) tha may help.

Thanks peachymo for trying to contact them as well. They are really have been horrible on assisting me. The first time I e-mailed them they apologize for the mistake and told me to fill an RMA form and the screw would be sent immediately. I did as they asked and havent heard anything back from them. I have sent 5 e-mails since, without any responses. I submitted a helpdesk ticket and they just completely delete if off the system so I may not even access it anymore. They use to have a phone number to call for support but after the new year, they have taken it down.

I had tried the motherboard screw as soon as I realized that I didn't have the screw. It didn't screw down all the way, tightly enough. The chip still was not tightly in place.

I've purchased various screws but all are either slighty too small, too short, too long or too big.

I'm interested in this "bolting" method that was mentioned. I haven't been able to find any information about this ONLINE or in this group. If someone can help me with finding that information or have any other ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you to everyone that has responded to my messagees.

here is a guide for doing the "bolt-on" method for a matrix chip, maybe you can get some info from it to help you with your problem. - http://images.xbox-scene.com/imageserver2/tutorials/pdf/MatrixBolt-OnGuide.pdf

if it's the screw where a matrix chip goes, i've used a #4 x 9.5mm panhead screw as a replacement when the original screw hole got stripped out from overtightening.
