X-Box Softmod Error 13 and won't play games

Alright I know this problem has gone around and I've done the things said to be done to solve the problem. Here's my short story on what happened to me:

I bought a used completly functional X-Box and I could play games with nothing wrong with it.(I bought it from EBGames) I then got a softmod installed for my Halo 2 clan. I used the SID installer for Splinter Cell. The dash worked fine until I accidently click format for every drive and deleted the dash's as well hence the error 13. Now I could play games and everything. Here's the other problem now I can't even play games and I've looked at many places and could not find an iso file in any torrent files. I also do not understand how to create an iso. So if anyone can get me the original dashboard that the X-Box comes with so I can play my X-Box again I would be in there debt.

 

If you download AID 3.0 from utorrent, there is an iso file in the folder that you download. From there you can extract the iso file on to your computer and burn it to a DVD-R. Then put that in yourxbox and it should load to its retail state.

 

Well since it's not playing an xbox games an more it brings up error 16 everytime time I try to play a game and it used to play games even though I had error 13. Error 16 isn't going to affect the disk with the iso file on it? And can I use a DVD+RW instead of a DVD-R because all I have is CD-R and DVD+RW disks and my X-Box will play CD-R disks because I've downloaded songs to my X-Box with that kind of disk before my X-Box was softmodded.
