Ok so me and my roommate want to play head to head on our tv's so i need a wireless adapter but the micro$oft one is so pricey and the ones by dlink and linksys are both about 60-70 bucks. My question is can i use the usb style wireless adapters that i have seen for about 30 bucks to connect the xbox360s together, i dont need to get on xbox live just play head to head. So can anyone give some better options or setups that they are using...thank...

i dought the pc adapters will work, they need drivers to make them work. you will most likely have to buy one for gameing.

The cable is actually your best and cheapest option. System link can be very funny at times (due to the ping timer on 360 games) and you can have problems trying to get connected to each others games through programs like Xlink Kai, XB Connect or Leaf Networks. It may not effect you since your in the same house on the same network.

But you need a good wireless adapter and router if you go wireless. I have the Linksys for both the router and adapter and it has worked very well.

I am pretty sure that i read that the USB wireless adapter will not work, and even if you did find one that did they are not nearly as good as an ethernet adapter.

Sorry not sure if crossover works with Xbox 360. I know it works with PC.
