Hello alll I have posted here in a while. anyhow I have been out of the xbox scene for a bit and recently my matrix chip was giving me a hard time. Well to keep it short I put in a x2.2 lite chip now and was wondering how do I flash the chip to be a newer bios on it. Currently I have (I think) the cromwell bios on it. I have the evox dash installed if you need to know that.

Please just respond with the info I request. I dont need flames or hijacks. I just need to know that information.

Also Im planning to put this bios on Xecuter2.Build.4977. The rar file is 244kb...does that seem to be correct?

    Thank you

You can either flash it with an external programmer that you can buy or create a disk with the bios.bin file and some dummy files that you boot up with. I'd recommend the programmer, it costs 15-20 bucks. From all the problems I've read on here going with the other way its worth saving the headaches and the way I went. The rar file is correct, you need to extract the contents using winrar. Inside there should be a file called X2_4977.bin which is a 256k file. You need to turn this into a 1 mb file by using either x2 bios manager which is another download or the make1mb.bat utility, also included in the rar file, to create the bios.bin file. You then flash this bios.bin file to the chip (same exact name and lower case). This may be more than you needed or not enough.

Is there a website with screenshots and steps of how to flash a x2 lite chip.

Thanks for the info you gave early. I got a better sence on what has to be done to change a bios for this chip.
