X3ce chip fitted with solderless adapter and seemed to flash successfuly with 3294 from xbins and then switched off.
Long push takes me to Microsoft dash but short push starts to boot and then powers down.
    Any ideas?

either it didn't flash properly (wrong bios possibly.. or bank switches are not set correctly.. try flashing again.. if you can't get to the flashbios then it's very likely a bad connection) .. on the wrong bank.. or the solderless thing isn't making proper contact.. I don't like them except pre-flashed chip and temp for quick hdd replacement purposes.

please note:: some x3's have the on chip flash protect switch wired reverse sense.

Hi scum101, thanks for the reply.

I've had a few spare hours today so I completely reinstaled chip and adapter and flashed it without the switch attached - still the same problem. Tried again with 3293 bios - same result.

Would the flas still work if the adapter isn't making proper contact?

I'm comin to the conclusion that the adapter isn't connecting correctly, the one I ordered with the chip was white/clear with lights on it to show that it was installed correctly, the one received was just a blue piece of plastic with some pins in it.

I'm having the exact same problem as steshell...

I installed the Xecuter 3CE chip as specified by Team Xecuter. The XBOX boots to FlashBios v.3.0.0 (although the text is not lined up on the screen properly). I flash the chip with Xecuter Bios 3294 via wired network connection. The flash appears to have been successful and the XBOX turns itself off. Then, when I try to turn on the XBOX with the chip enabled, it powers up (the lights and fans come on, but no video) and then it immediately powers down again.

    -XBOX ver. 1.4 or 1.5
    -Xecuter 3CE w/ solderless adapter
-flashed with Xecuter Bios 3294 (from XBINS)

I also received a solder-less adapter that is just a blue piece of plastic. The solder-less adapters I have used in thew past were much more substantial.

Any light that anyone could shed on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
