Hey everyone I have my orignal hdd that is screwed up (tryed soft modding) so I brought a second hdd off of Ebay. NOTE: HE SAID HE WILL UNLOCK IT FOR ME, But I can do that anyway with the chip can't I? and will I need a working hdd for me to install the mod chip (X3CE) thanks in advance Gunmetald
You want to unlock the hdd you're purchasing on eBay? Well, you would need the EEPROM to do that. You won't be able to FTP into that hdd when it arrives because your current xbox will not recognize it if you put it in. There fore you won't be able to FTP into and get the EEPROM so you can unlock it. You might wanna ge the seller to unlock it for you and see if he'll save the EEPROM to a floppy for you to save yourself some work.
