I have installed my XBITS Mod Chip, but can't seem to get it to boot. I have loaded a bios and it still will not boot. Looking at how my pins lineup I can't tell if the D0 ping is lining up. It looks like the is no pin to lineup on. One page said to connect the Xbox D0 to the Xbits D0 using a 6cm wire. How can I tell if D0 is lined up or do I need to use a 6cm wire to make the connection.
look at the pics from a tutorial on xbox-scene and see if you have the proper d0 point. Once you've made sure of that, use a 30 guage wire to connect the two. There is a larger d0 solder pad on the underside of the mobo if the top one looks too small for you to solder. oh, this is just to make sure that your d0 is properly connected. It doesn't mean that it is definatley your problem.
Did that also. I have gone back and solder all my connects and it still does the same thing. Tried it in an older XBOX v1.0 and it did the same thing. I am now tring a thrid box. If this don't work then I am sending the mod chip back.
what is your xbox doing when you turn it on? Does it boot to the original dash? And do you have a solderless adapter? (do they make one for the xbit?)
