    hey there,
i recently reinstalled my windows and now want to share my media with my xbox again. I have a softmodded xbox and before i formatted my pc i could easily have access from my xbox to my pc and streeam movies and stuff. (I am using xbmc as an application)and evox as the dash. But now since i reinstalled windows, something must be wrong with my (network)settings on the xbox or computer. Everytime i want to add a new source on m xbox/xbmc it says: "network error: share (some long number) not available."
I dont get this. Why did it work before. And I can easily ftp from my pc to my xbox. so this means the xbox is communicating with my pc.

for the info: using win xp pro x86

If anybody has an idea, thatd be great.
    thanks in advance.
    peace out

you have to download the share software from microsoft. I have done this same thing. I can't for life of me remember the exact name but if you download the stuff to connect a 360 to your pc, it works for the xbox aswell. I hope that helps. pc connect maybe?
