XBMC issue SMB sharing

I had my xbox and PC working fine, moved back into the dorm and did not want anyone and everyone being able to leech from me, I accidently checked the "make files/folders private" and have had a headache since. I cannot get the xbox to connect and not prompt me for a username and password, despite the computer having no pass, and then creating a user account for the xbox with a pass (http://www.xbox100.com/tutorials/modzone/03_SMB_Sharing_Secure.htm) Any simple solutions I have overlooked? sounds like you in a pickle...i guess your running through a router correct??

 

not a router, just a 4 port hub... incoming internet feed, then splits to the PC and xbox

 

well my idea would be to turn file sharring back on,and use the windows firewall to only allow your xbox ip through....
