I recently received an xbox to try to repair, and have been looking at it and finally decided to start. First thing i did was take it apart, and then clean the dvd drive. I took the dvd drive out, cleaned both lasers, re-alligned the tracks, and then put it back into the xbox, hooked everything back-up, and now i'm having issues. Whenever I turn the xbox on, it turns on briefly for a second, and then off. Then it turns on for about 2 seconds, and then off. And then it turns on for a third time, and continues to stay on. During all of these times, absolutely nothing is displayed on the t.v. except for black, and the LED on the front doesn't turn on. This is not modified in any way. Suggestions?
make sure everything is connected right inside.....you might be gettings a frag error or another error that is very uncommon but happens with xbox V1.0...
i'm not getting a frag error, the light is off. I think i fixed it, the hard drive power cable wasn't all the way in.
