I've looked through some of the tutorials and followed the instructions and tried 3 different burning programs. all with the same result.

Each time I put the disk into my XBox the 360 reads the disk as being a DVD movie and shows the movie telling me I need to put it into an xbox 360 console.

Has anyone had this issue before?

I can not make a copy of my actual copy as the reason I need another disk is my Bought copy has the wrong region on it, so it wont start.

    Hey Shivwuffy,
I have had the same problem as well but not exactly what you are having. My problem is i put the game in the modded 360 and it tries to read it and after a while it just comes up with unplayable disc. Doesn't pop up any window or anything just the icon at the dashboard says it(the icon where you can use the controller to eject the disc is where it says this). Any ways if i put this disc into a none modded it pops up with that error. Did you mod your 360? If not that is your problem and if so im not sure. You have any suggestions for my problem?

Hi I'm going to try to help. I need a little information from you first. What program are you using to back your games up and also to burn them?

Only use verbatim dl dvds from Singapore. They work the best. It costs more, but you won't have too many coasters.

    Yes it is modded.

I think I may have tracked the issue to having used DVD-R DL and not DVD+R DL... Looking to source the disks

    After using DVD+R DL
The disk reads as Dirty whenever I try to run it with the console.

I am Using Nero to do my work for me to burn it.

    Hello
I am burning my games using a laptop and my laptop is a HP Pavillon DV5250, and each time I try to burn the games after 50% or even 70% it just stop burning saying it can't read, the dvd Dl layer came witht he laptop. do I need to buy an external drive or burning games with a laptop never works

I have coasted almost 20 of my DL dvd discs ans as you know they are also very expensive.

I am using Image burn to burn the disc, and download them from a torrent.

    thanks and best regards
    Sohag

is this a problem with my laptop or something please any help will be appreciated.

You'll need the following to read, burn, and play your backup xbox 360 games...
    A modded xbox 360
A dvd drive (sh-d162c or similar, ebay has them) running Kreon firmware to be able to read the discs correctly
(google kreon and get the latest version, it's easy to install)
Xbox backup creator v2.8 build:0275 or newer to rip the disc image AND burn it to disc using your own normal dvd burner...
The sh-d162c (or similar) is NOT a burner
