I got my xbox 360 modded a year ago i think it is lt 3.0. i want to update my dashboard so that i can play gta v but i am afraid that it may remove my mod. I have no clue about tis modding so can anyone tell me whether i can update my dashboard or not. If yes please tell me how to do it also.
Hey i modded my xbox and the update is available but i dont know how to update my dashboard, can you help me? I thought that i could download the update from xbox live onto a pd and then update my dashboard, but then found out that this would break my xbox, as my after modding i can only play the backup games form hard disk or pen drive. Please help
How is your box modded? Xkey, xdock or wasabi? This is how to update dash with a flash drive. Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer. Download the update file. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer. Unzip the file. If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your flash drive. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console. Restart the console. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.
Hey guys i am a rookie at this so i have no idea how my xbox has been modded, but all i know is that the guy who modded it for me told me that i cannot use a burned dvd or connect to xbox live, i can only use pendrive or a hard drive to play backups ( i guess he said its hard modded). I asked him about the way you guys told me to update, but he said that it would break my xbox. So could you please tell me any other way to update my dashboard.
