I bought an xbox 360 arcade. I put my friends old 20gb hard drive in and it works like it should. But I am not sure if there are any differences between the xbox 360 arcade and the other versions. I have come to believe that there are differences because on the package it has an asterisk saying that the arcade only supports some original xbox games. If the difference is in the hardware and anybody knows about it, please post. Also, can it be modded just like the other xbox 360? All the forums only talk about modding plain and elite xbox 360s. Thanks
so that's it? that is the only difference? then why does it not play original xbox games while the other consoles do?
Uhm the regular Xbox 360's don't play ALL of the Xbox Originals. You need to check the compatibility list on xbox.com for a list of the games you're able to play.
you need a hard drive to store the backwards compatabitly update on it to play original xbox games, and since the arcade doesnt come with a hard drive thats why they put that on the box
ok, it seems as if the consoles are the same except for the harddrive and that it will mod like any other console. thanks everyboby who posted
