Xbox 360 feature without modding OS on PS3?

    Xbox 360 has a feature that allows it to pool out over the network and find all mp3 files etc.. for music playing purposes. Is there a program available for the PS3 to download that does the same thing, without having to install Linux etc...

    you can't access the PS3 via the network or PC to PS3, with out using linux.

    The ps3 will search a USB External HDD or thumb stick, if they are in FATxx and will give you the option to copy MP3 and movies. to the PS3 HDD.

    Maybe the next firmware will allow access via Lan, but not currently with out linux.
