Xbox 360 Flashing

    Hello i was thinking about flashing my xbox 360 but noticed that your computer needs to be able to take SATA cards and i was just wondering if somebody could tell me if this computer would take a SATA card :

    sata card is an add on to your pc via a pci slot sort of like a sound card or modem,what that gives u is a sata port so u can connect ur 360 drive to your pc.So the answer is yes all u need to do is buy a pci to sata card and install it . Or use ur on board sata port depending on ur 360 drive some u have to use a via 6421 sata card such as the one i described.

    I have a samsung drive, so do I just need a pci to sata card and install it then I can hook my xbox up to it and flash it?

    Hi,
    I would strongly suggest reading into how to do it more before buying the components and attempting the flash, as you risk bricking your drive.

    If you are going to use your 360 to power the drive, then all you will need is the SATA PCI Card, and a SATA cable to connect from the drive to the PC.

    The Samsung drive is the easiest to flash, but make sure you read through a few tutorials before actually going ahed with it :).

    Yeh I'm going to watch a fee videos and things :) so is that all I need a sata card because you get the sata cables with it don't you?

    depends on what drive you have. you might need some additional hardware.

    You wont need anything extra if youre using your xbox to power the Samsung drive.

    Dont get that one. Try 360214520255

    you need one with a VIA6421 Chipset.

    Hey I have a question I'm new to this whole flashing thing but i bought a used 360 that has already been flashed with what I don't know it's a lite on 74850C it doesn't play wave 4 games. my question is if I want to update the fw to 1.61 would I be able just to use the sata cable method by just pluging the drive to the pc using the 360 power and update it with jungle flasher. the tut is a little confusing to me any help would be great
