Xbox 360 Hard drive question HELP!

Hi i was wondering if i was able to put my 20G hard drive on another xbox 360 without any problems? The thing is i have 2 360's one unmodded and one modded. My un-modded 360 is being sent back to M$.

I have Xbox Live on my hard drive and i was wondering if i were to put it on my modded 360 then play burned games on it, with the ethernet cable unplugged would i get banned from xbox live when i get my 360 from M$ back and stuck my hard drive in there? Will they be able to know that i was playing a burned game?
