xbox 360 hard drive upgrade???

whats the biggest hard drive you can fit in to the 20gb cage on top?

i know 120gb is the maximum you can get but i was wondering if you can put a 500gb one in.

all i have seen is 120gb not sure if anyone else has tried a larger 1

 

120GB is max.

 

if you know 120 is the max, then why would you want to put a 500 in? its just wasted space that the console wont see/use.

just thought then, it would be nice to have a bigger hard drive, since xboxs make nice rings in your disc's you back them up on hard drive and then its not as bad.

i wanted to know how can i upgrade my 20 gb hard drive to a bigger. I have a western digital scorpio blue 160gb. Is it possible to use this hard drive. I have read that it only supports 120 and other 40 gb will go to waste but since i have this extra drive is it possible? If so how do i do it?

i have searched and i have found tutorials but they are not descriptive and detailed. They don't show say what files to transfer and etc. I wish someone here in Afterdawn would make a How To Tutorial. For example i wanted to use Xplorer360 since i have heard people using it. Any help?
