i obtained this xbox for fairly cheap, the guy who has it before was working on it but didnt have the time. i reflowed the board and got it to boot. the kicker? it has no CPU heatsink.. i was wondering about alternative methods of keeping it satisfied. it is pre NXE and i am interested in JTAGGING this board.

Put it next to the AC vent and keep your house at about 50 degrees. Move north.... way north. Put an ice-pack on it. Put a flat-bottomed copper cup on top of the CPU and keep it filled with ice water.

Or (now this is a CRAZY idea) put the heatsink back on it!

I dunno man. There isnt a lot you can do other than water cooling it (with an acutal kit) or using the stock heatsinks.
