Why was this posted in safety valve and Not X360? Request to be teleported to appropriate forum :)

Well if you really have ready the page, it's just a joke made by naoneo :) He's just showing how easy it is to fake a modchip site and pictures. There's many speculations about ice modchip, you shuold read it if you don't know about it. I said from the beginning that ice modchip was a scam, and what do you know, it really was :)

and only half as much silicon!

Are there any chips that are going to be released in the future - legit ones?

I'm keeping mine standard, just curious.

So far no luck. 360 will be harder to crack, so it might take a while.

I think the days of the modchip are running out. Microsoft is smart, and linking everything online makes piracy easily detectable. Plus the software and hardware is getting very advanced, very quickly!

Yeah, but in technology what is done can be undone. There's always a way past those security checks, one way or another. Microsoft has done good job in terms of security, many checks on booting, starting a game, detecting media etc. But someday it will be bypassed.

I think that will always be the case. However, I think the demand for them will drop over time. I think the general public, aware of the security and internet connection, will become paranoid when it comes to these things. I know I am becoming more conscious of their 'all seeing eye'.

I suppose we'll find out more over the next year.

The playstation on the other hand will probably be chipped in no time. They haven't got plans for anything as complex as Xbox live (correct me if i'm wrong)
