Xbox 360 or PS3? Help me choose.

hi i just wanted to ask that should i buy Ps3 or xbox 360. Well what are my facts xbox 360 has better games now and better graphics now. But a huge failiure rate, It has a tempting game halo3 which is the best by the way does Ps3 has better game than that? xbox 360 has a better live system, would ps3 win the war or lose (give me a geniuine opinion)

 

You will never get a straight answer, nor a genuine one, you will only get what people think, I think what you need is to test both system by yourself and then decide. I hate XBox, since the start, and will never buy one, instead I have had the PSX, PS2 and PS3, plus the N64, GC and Wii, so I am a different brand, I will rather go for a more solid inversion with a PS3 ( no failure rate so far... ) and the cheapest Bluray player in the market, you will need to wait and see if the HD DVD or the Bluray will prevail after that take your decision.

 

Well i have had the 360 since release, its a core because i cudnt find any premiums, great console and havnt had any problems with the red lights n i do play it a lot, my parents got me a ps3 last month for christmas, i cant play it till christmas but i have done lol, and also bought a Wii which is now sold, so i have tested all and my OPINION is that the ps3 is a better console than the 360, it has better graphics better gameplay, you cant exactly moan about the online because its free and it is gd, the blu-ray player is gd and the card readers etc, but unfortunatly the 60gb is gone now, i think, the Wii is good if your a younger OR have a lot of friends coming around too play because its fun when a lot of people are playin wii sports lol but the graphics are much like ps2 thats why it didnt interest me. i wud say get a ps3, you will only be able to get a 40gb, the differnce from the 60gb is no card readers, only 2 usb ports instead of 4, matte finish instead of gloss (shiny lol) and obviously the 40gb, but its still a gd price for what you get. hope this helped

Thats not true,lots of people have had there PS3 die,my first one,i bought on release day didnt even work but i was lucky enough to get it changed the next day.I also have an Xbox 360 that i bought on release day and i think its great but unfortunatley after having it for almost two years,i got the dreaded ring of death.

I hate the stupid console wars,thats why i usually just buy them all,it would be great if,Sony,Microsoft,Nintendo got together and made the ultimate console.

Dont choose on just specs alone the PS3 has better and dont just pick on games alone the 360 has more.

Pros 360:
Better control pad(in my opinion).
Nicer dashboard.
Xbox Live.

Cons 360:
Huge fail rate mainly due to over heating.
Only uses Dvd9 for games.
Dosnt have Hd-Dvd built in.

Pros PS3:
More potential than the 360.
Games come in Blu-Ray format meaning loads of space for huge games.
Linux can be installed on it.

Cons PS3:
Very Little games available at the moment.
Sony keep making the console worse while Microsoft keeps improving theirs.
Online is rubbish compared to Live.

I have both, and if you are in online gaming than choose xbox.

PS3 has free online... What a lousy argument. I have sinked 500$ for the console, I pay 30$ to my ISP for internet per month, I bought a router for 50$ and each game I buy costs me 50$+. Thats the cost of playing online with wathever console.
Will I starve if i pay 50$ per year for xbox live service? Probably not, because if I would I wouldn't have all the other stuff in the first place.

My logic is: I'd rather pay 50$ a year for quality service, than get lousy service for free.
