Nintendo didnt confirm its old specs.

Itw will have 4x 2.5GHz (G5) processors,,, and it will have a 600MHz graphics engine.

1T-SRAM is one of the fastest memories you can get (about 25- 30GB's), its only gonna be slightly faster then the 360's memory but its still faster.
PS3 will have half of its memory at 6.4GB/s and the other half at 22.4GB/s.

Like I said where are u getting this info at? According to gameinformer, Aug 2005, specs leaked that the revolution will be powered by two 1.8GHZ IBM PowerPC G5 processors, a 600MHZ ATI graphics chip, 128 MB of main memory and 256 MB embedded memory. That looks like only 2/3 the power of an xbox360 correct me if I am wrong.

 

Words are confusing,

Even if it did have dual 1.5 GHz g5's, the PS3 wouldnt be twice the power nooooooo way!

That info is old info, its 4x 2.5 GHz G5's,,thats not far off from the
3x3.2 GHz 360! or the 7x3.2GHz PS3!!!!

Look at it this way considering the same chip,,a dual processor set wont be twice the power of a single processor,,,, maby a 40% increase in power according to how efficient the processors are.

Its like a 2.5lr car with 250 BHP and the same car/ same model in 5lr will only mean like a 100BHP increase!!!


You earn twice the salary you get taxed more!!!!1

Well i really don't understand any of that technical crap I just go by what i like so i guess we can all find out in a few months... I'm not putting down anyone i just think that all those numbers are nice to look at but you really just need to see what you like and what you don't.

 

Maby thats the best way to be,,,im obsessed with CG,,,, Theres not much difference in the 3 consols but i think the revolution will be the best but it wont sell as good

 

Nintendo probably won't release its specs until E3 next year. All well. If nintendo would comeout with more third party games I would get it but It only comes out with great first party games and that is like once every 3 to 6 months.

 

Actually I read on gamespot that nintendo is gonna release details on the revolution during the Tokyo Game Show Sept 17.

 

most of the specs i have are from companies who work with nintendo who cant say much,, theres alot of true and fake specs but some are more realistic. Yes b!tches Nintendos using T1-SRAM.

Ati did say that the graphics processor will clock between 500-600 MHz,
and it seems like nintendo chose 600MHz! oh and its a dual processor graphics card!!!! VERY NICE!

 

im i the only on to notice that the ps3 font(on the console) is the same as used in the spiderman movies(also owned by sony)......cheap @$$ sony thought no one would notice lol

 

I agree with you furydog because i am buying all three.Some people are being stupid because they say they will wait until ps3 comes out instead of buying the xbox360.I'm sorry but they want to wait until possibly spring to fall of 2007 then go right ahead because the 36o will have so many games out and by that time halo 3 wil be out.Besides no one can say the ps3 will be better because we haven't seen actual game play just yet or seen or played the system which hasn't even been made yet and in an interview from nvidia they say it will be less powerful than the 7800 graphics card which they say is equal to 2 6800 or something of that nature and the 360 is more powerful than that.Only time will tell who will win the battle but don't count out nintendo just yet because according to thq they said in an interview that nintendo has grown up and nobody will expect what is coming from then.We will have to wait and see.

 

to anyone who thinks ati's graphips chip will be better than nvidia, face the reality ps3 and nvidia are going to win no matter how much longer the ps3 takes to come out they are still going to win this fight AGAIN, we already own a xbox 360 now with our current computers now so lets just wait and see what better games will always on a ps3 and the xbox 360 fans can go and cry like little babies again and you will have to wait till the next xbox whatever they dream to call it.sony verses microsoft fight in a few years when they will realease their future hardware in 5 to 6 years. sony already have their ideas for the ps7 and microsoft have to try to prove how far they can try to bluff the already bluffed xbox fans.... to bad to the xbox sheep. just face the facts you have already lost many years ago. hahahahahaha

 

Yeah everybody knows that nintendo has money. But, they do not have nearly as much money as microsoft or sony. These guys are giants and nintendo is just a kid in a sandbox. The real fight is going to be between sony and microsoft. Nintendo is just going to stay in there little niche of the market and appeal to little kids.

 

Yea they have like 15 - 30 times the money of nintendo, But its how you use your money!
X360 and PS3's main processors are a bit faster then the REVs.
That cost money! And they have dumb ass hard drives! mo money mo money!
PS3 need to spend mo money on their BlueRAy ish!

Remember Nintendo lives off their hand held consoles, theyve probably invested half their company into the revolution,

ATI and IBM has a longer relationship with Nintendo then the others.

Nintendo do have slight advantages over the others! money isnt eveything! its what you do with it

 

@solaray, going back a few posts you said the Revolution will have dual graphics cards? Where did you find that out? I really know nothin about the revolution and would like to learn more. Gotta know your compotition.

Wow thanks. I might actually consider buying it except for the games. It seems to be a powerful system. One thing I noticed was the lack of ethernet port but WiFi support?

 

WiFi is great, my friend uses it at his house for his psp, he has a 4 story house and can browse the internet on the 4th floor but his internet connection is on the ground floor.

Yer Nintendo said the same stuff about the Game Cube,"graphics isnt eveything" but when critics comapred Luigis mansion to Halo, they noticed there was no differnece in graphic power, and many said that Luigis Mansion (60fps) ran smoother the HALO (30fps).

Nintendos just playing dead! But they wont die out, IF thisa new controller is as good as i think they will come out on top!

Controller is roumoured to have:
Microphone for voice detection,
Controllers that change temperature (eg if a bomb goes off)
motion detection (like a gyroscopic type thing)

and their suppost to be like sueezable, kind of like a stressball type
thing, (eg the harder you squeeze the harder you hit your opponent)
,,,,,,,,, or the buttons are suppost to be like sensitive eg rubbing and pressure sensitve!

But Nintendo did say that the controller wont have any D pad or A/B buttons. To me that means the controller wont have ANY buttons except the START button.

I think you will need to get NCG controllers to play the old games!
The console has a side flap that opens to let 4 NGC controlelrs connect. These ports will be used to charge the main controllers!

The main controllers are Wireless!

Some of these roumours were from ex employees who worked at nintendo!
(thats the middle finger to data protection i guess)

This is what im 80% sure of:

*No BUTTONS at all!
*MABY)Analogue stick (maby 2)
{the controller will be pressure sensitive to your fingers, so your finger pressure will be the only buttons,,, eg, RYU Dragon Ball = Right index finger, analogue Down & towards.
*Touch pad like the DS,(definitley not an LCD screen) {replace the D-pad)
*Microphoone/ headset for voice detaction,

Others are, controller will push back at your hands, controlelrs will move!!! oh thats ILL!!!

Even if only a third of these roumours are true it will still be something new! What do you think

 

I think that companies keep saying that there system will have all these great capabilties with out any confirmation. Until they have an official announcement with there product tech specs on paper than I will be interested. I mean when the PS2 came out Sony promised all these great internet capabilities most of them never happened. Until nintendo actually comes out with the official tech specs all these statements that nintendo has this and that is just speculation. I believe you that the nintendo will have a faster and more powerful video card. But that doesn't mean nintendo will be the best just look at the N64! It was more powerful than the playstation but it sucked. If nintendo is to succeed in this market they need to listen to there customers and give them what they want.
