Hey again, I think blu-rays shine when it comes to action. Haha. I think we should all bombard XBOX to make one with a blu-ray player in it. That would be swell. Aloha, Tara
The only thing I like about BR discs is the outercoating. Those discs can take much more abuse than normal dvd/cd's before being scratched. Other than that, I don't collect any (movie) discs anymore. I stream all my HD rips via Popcorn Hour.
http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/index.php?pluginoption=catalog I have the A 110 and absolutely love it.
I don't think MS should make an internal blu-ray player for xbox 360, it would drive the price to high. An external one would be good.
What they should've done was release a "Super Elite" with a built-in Blu-Ray player for those that want hi-def movies. Then we'd just have to figure out how to flash it
why a blu ray player 1080p movies are coming to xbox marketplace streaming to, so no need for blu ray, what is it like 10 dollars a month for the zune thingy.
Is it possible that a HDTV set-up as a second PC monitor via a DVI connection can play downloaded blu-ray movies at good quality?? I have a GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB video card. I currently use my 360 to stream movies from PC to my TV but that crap lags so tremendously where its not even feasible to use.....and some formats dont play at all. I ordered some HD cables to hook my TV as a second monitor to eliminate the 360. What are the disadvantages of doing this, if there are any as opposed to buying something like that popcorn hour thing?
With that graphics card I am surprised you can even render normal videos, let alone HiDef. 256 mb videoram is nothing.
It plays regular Divx video well on a regular TV but not sure on an HDTV. I will see when I get the cables.
