xbox 360 problem..

    i seem to have a problem with my xbox giving me the dirty disk error and i dont know what it is because the disk is clean..the disk slows down in the dvd drive and then the xbox becomes quiet( yes i said quiet i can hear a pin drop its amazing haha) but i dont know what the problem could be..i bought the 360 last year and i have been having this problem for a few months not.. any ideas on my problem would greatly help

    if you have had the drive for that long then it most likely the drive laser, cheapest bet is to buy a replacement drive for the xbox, get the pretty cheap on ebay. try and get one brand new and not someones piece of junk, usually samsungs need to be replaced fairly quickly from my experience.

    both of my sammys have surrvived the red ring of death and have been running without a skip for over two years now. i think its just pot luck. when you replace the drive you cant just throw any old drive in there there are some things you have to do.
