Hey guys, I finally got hit with the 3 ring rrod few days ago and attempted to fix it with the rubber method (4mm rubber cut outs to replace the crappy ones underneath the motherboard, near the x's.) I tried booting the xbox and the fan went loud, extremely loud. Then the 3 rings went to 2 rings, which i heard indicates overheating. So now im stumped as to what to do. I dont want to burn out the xbox.
