xbox 360 that can be jtag but wrong drive- help

Hi guys
I got a xbox 360 with the old dash but the dvd drive is not the right drive bc it tell me insert this game into a xbox 360 console, I change the dvd drive with a working one and it did the same thing. Now my question is when I jtag a xbox 360 those having the wrong drive matters? Will I see the right #s of the dvd drive when I flash it?

 

i dont know much about jtagging but i know you get your dump from the motherboard so it wouldnt matter what drive is in, use the key from the motherboard dump and flash anydrive and it should work?

 

or you can jtag it and put your games on a hard drive. No need for a DVD drive then. That is what I did with mine.

So you dont have a drive on your xbox 360? how you put the games on the hard drive with your PC?

 

I don't remember the name of the program. Not at my PC at the moment. Go to elite mod scene, Xbox 360 how to, putting games on external hard drive. Think it was written by wabashman. Very good tutorial. Easy to follow

 

Damn I got LUCKY today, I got 2 xbox 360 with wires and 1 controller one of them have the old dashboard so now I have 2 xbox i can jtag lol im so happy
