lol, that sticker is upside down, the semicircle should be the bit near the edge... the stickers are placed by hand, so the position differs.
lol thats funny, i havent encountered the paper sticker yet though the the silver one wasnt to hard to remove.. hairdryer and a sharp blade worked for me
hey, i have a new console and i took off my sticker with a playing card and a hair dryer, the sticker may have taken a purplish color. and the white box filled out in a somewhat pink. does this also void my warranty? i saw a pic of one on this thread that looks like mine.
See, right there! I noticed these things as well. I bet they'd be more than happy to void your warranty w/ these discrepancies! The only reason I have for COMPLETELY removing the sticker would be to use on other consoles, if you are merely trying to maintain the sticker on one machine then yes just take off enough like in the pics above - and USE NO HEAT!!! Use my method instead! NOW how to replicate the specific adhesive qualities of said sticker... And guy are you 100% sure you got a rehab from MS w/ no visible black dot in the box? Your honest answer will help others... Really, its sad that we have to resort to such methods to get MS to stand behind their product; I have had to resort to these measures on more than one occasion now and none of those reasons were I opened it to flash the drive, all have been due to changes in their warranty policy and how it applies to my lot of returned 360's purchased from a big box store, that I personally attempted to repair and could not due to material and engineering defects, the only reason I tried in the first place is because IT WASN'T COVERED lol.
well i used heat to open mine, though i found out my new disc drive had to be physically tampered with sadder to mod so i didnt remove anything else. shows no signs of being opened at all.. now because i used heat to open my sticker.. will that affect me at all?
I don't think so, I used heat on mine and it hasn't affected it in anyway. Aslong as it looks good they will accept it (people have sent xbox's in with no sticker and they get repaired). BTW I got the sticker to work, i can't tell the difference between the real and copy, next time my 360 rrod i'll try it out. It's pretty easy to do, anybody with a quality scanner can do it... but I used a professional printer at work to print mine, my canon wasn't good enough.
All 12 boxes I have sent to MS in last 2 months have black dot. Do not use heat on these, the heat will definitely make the ink of the black dot run. I'm not even sure if thats a flag or not, but just to be safe! FWIW it may have been more than adequate heat, but why take a chance when none is required?
my sticker doesnt have a black dot but it did turn purplish/pinkish w/e if they accuse me of doing shit ill call and complain and bitch etc. ill make them take back their fusking shitty product that is made to break
