xbox backup creator tutorial

That's the original method which was used when backing up first came available.

You use your pc drive and swap a dvd movie with the 360 game.

Hello new to this so bear with me , Will try and make it has close to the point has i can ..... Managed to get image , but which version of clone do i use ? ..... DVD OR CD ? ... Any help would be appreciated ....... Thanks

 

Use cloneCd and write from image file.

 

Get the new XBC and that will solve a lot of problems!!

Guys I have 2 questions:
1 – I was told by someone I had to go into XBC 'options and set the Block and Sector Retry Limit to 5'. Why and is that right?
2 – I was told by someone else on XBC I HAVE to go to the drive tools tab and click the unlock drive button? What does that do and do I need to do it?

I ask this because both people didn’t mention these 2 different steps in each other’s methods. Just wondered if I have to do them both?

 

Just to warn people who are backing up their games with DVD Decrypter: dont use cheap discs because when you get to the burn stage an error is likely to come up saying
"Interpretation: Power Calibration Area Error",
this happens on 0% when its says at the bottom of the window:
'setting L0 data zone capacity'.
Also cheap discs write to 53-54% and fail. The main cause of this is again the quality of the discs. When the DVD drive is burning onto the second layer of the disc (which is 53-54%) it fails as the disc quality is poor. Well not poor quality, the incorrect discs for backing up Xbox 360 games.
Here's some i recommend 9i used these and they work with my backups):
(1.) Verbatim 8.5Gb 2.4x Double Layer DVD+R

(2.) Aone 8.5Gb 8x Double Layer DVD+R

DONT WASTE TIME WITH CHEAP DISCS.

I keep getting a error that says error after single sector reading this is normal on Xbox 1 disc,on Xbox 360 disc this should not happen.

do you want to continue and fill unreadable sectors with zeros?

The game is a Xbox 360 madden 07. Any help with this would be great thanks

Hi everyone,

I just bought an Xtreme 360 from eBay, and a Samsung SH0D162C to backup my games. I had my first go at this last night, downloaded Xbox Backup Creator 2.3, and Schtrom 3.1, as I heard those were the best programmes to do it.

I tried XBC first, followed the tutorial, and pressed start to begin the rip. I then got a message ' Unable to determine the current visible partition', and subsequent message saying 'read failed'.

I then tried Schtrom, and got a message saying 'No valid Xbox disc in drive', 'unable to backup'.

I was trying to backup Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End.

Can anyone suggest what is going wrong, or give me some advice how to fix it? It would be mega karma for anyone who can!!!

Newb question....

I DLd a copy of GH2 that wasn't Stealth and I couldn't find one that was. my question is....since the Schtrom proggy is supposed to automatically stealth patch upon extract, will it also patch if I had mounted the ISO I DLd in deamon tools and extracetd from there?.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

You don't have to mount the iso once you unrar it to stealth patch it. Just leave it in iso form on your hdd and direct which ever program you use to where it's located.

Also, I'd suggest using XDVDMulleter instead of Schtrom for patching.
