Xbox Backup Creator & Windows 7?

    I can't get it working, iv put that file in system32 and xbc folder but when i go to rip a game it will stop at 3.39% with error

    Get Security Sector Failed; Retrying again

    please help!

    Hi:

    I have a nasty problem too with win 7 ultimate x64. In my case it works just fine, but when I try to burn something it waste every dvd put on it.

    Now, my drive is upgraded to the latest firmware. The drive is good because I have also a win xp install, and there xbc works flawless, so the problem is with win7 (running the program as admin also didn't solve anything).

    I hope you can help me, I don't want to waste more DVDs X_x

    I have been having trouble getting this to work on windows 7 and I came here looking for an answers. I tried everything I read and nothing helped until I got to John_Donn's post. This fixed it for me. Install that second link he posted and it will work great!

    Little bit late but I just ran across this.

    I'm using Win7 64 bit. I copied mscomctl.ocx into system32 and syswow64, registered from an elevated cmd prompt with no luck.

    What did it for me was making xbox backup creator run in compatibility mode for xp sp3 after I registered the active x control.
