ok i know this horse has been beaten so bad now but i cant seem to find a comment on this ok so ive been using xbox live for about 3 years now on the same system!!!!! never had the red rings "whooooo" but anyways i know live already put some sort of code on my console so first question can i turn off the blaster to restore or change back to my original firm to go on xbox with my original games or to install updates or is that always the same until i re flash. second fable 2 and fall out 3 are looking very good so i think i might want to play them before there released if "back to question one" if i can go on xbl with a blaster still installed on my system but turned off and not connected to a lan can i play games that are not yet released then go on xbl later and what would happen if i got achievements wouldn't xbox know im playing pirated games and ban me...... so what im looking for is to know if there's anyway not to get banned. i have no intrest in playing burnt games online. thanks for your time
it doesnt matter what you do to your system now, if you flashed it already, it will eventually get banned. it doesnt matter if you put it back to original FW or not. so you might as well keep it flashed.
well whats the point of going into some long boring answer when a simple few sentences will answer it completely?? i have better things to do then to sit around and waste time typing out long threads. well back to roofing in 34 degree weather.
thank you, yeah still debating if i should flash just installed it last night, but i think i can handel my system being banned i have ways to switch up consoles, ;P
might as well flash it then. however, you dont really need the blaster, its pretty much a waste of money now since FW updates done come out all that much. also, if your console does get banned, the new ones on store shelves right now wont do you to much good since the lite-on drive is a pain in the but, and you need to have some pretty intense hardware to mod them. edit-- you might want to remove the advertising from your sig as i do not believe its allowed. just a friendly heads up before a mod sees it.
Google Xbox 360 Live Modchip, if your a good solderer then this is for you. Basically you solder this down, and it bypass's the live ban. Although this is if they ban your console. They may try first by banning your ip. Yippeee. Just set a new one. Then if they see your account on again, on the same console, with the same drive, they may try to ban the console. But if they ban your ip first, just re flash the drive with a better firmware. Then go ahead and get on. They wont be able to detect it, so they'll probably think it was their error. But if they ban your console, just get the chip, solder it, reflash the fw with a better version, get a new account, and then change ip. Seems like alot but better than dropping the loot to get a new console.
umm, last time i checked, the only way of getting around the ban (once you have been banned) is to get take a working key from an unbanned console (thus making the once good console useless). and you would have to purchase a second console to get this key, as no-one in this world would ever give you their key. and MS doesnt ban the IP address, they ban the console itself.
Yeah wabashman is right the key is stored in the nand of the system, and everytime you log on live it creates a log.MS checks the log and can tell if the system goes on live,so the best way to stay clear of bans is get two consoles in my honest opinion.Get one modded and one unmodded, and just play all your games online on the unmodded one.Trust me if you play online all the time with a game then you most likely will end up buying it.Its not gonna break you to buy a game every once awhile to play online,so bans can be defeated using this method. Its just a heads up for anyone that is afraid of getting banned, but the truth is like wabashman said all modded consoles can get banned even the modchip mentioned by TFury1992 could get you banned if they detect that chip.
