hi, i was wondering wat xbox dvd drive is the best , and which 1 is the worst. i have a phillips dvd drive is this good, a which 1 is the worst? thanks
Samsung are the best. Phillips and Thompson, there are mixed options. Some say phillips are crap and others say Thompson. I have a v1.6 xbox with phillips 2004 drive and I haven't had any problems. Some of my friends have thompson 2005 models and Halo 2 killed their drives. I have another xbox my first with a thompson 2001 drive i use this xbox the most and the drive is running strong better than my 2004 model. It all depends, just like when you buy blank dvds from makers who use various dye manufacturers it’s a gamble. But you should get a hold of a Samsung those will outlast the xbox.
