Xbox DVD drive replacement

Is it possible to replace the Xbox dvd drive with a pc dvd drive?

 

i think there is one samsung drive that works but i dont know how to do it exactly.....

If I am understanding the tutorial correctly, it says I have to keep it open and protect it from dust.

I know I can by one from Llama.com.

Let me rephrase my question: is it possible to hack a PC DVD drive and place it in the xbox?
(I know the DVD drives have different dimensions.)
