Xbox firmware question PLEASE ANSWER

    i am an owner of the launch xbox 360 (benQ drive) and im finally looking to flash it... i have my dvds (gears 2) and (Mirrors edge) burned and am ready to flash. I do have some questions tho...
    I have the NXE dashboard on my xbox... when i softmod my xbox using BenQ iXtreme v1.1 firmware will i keep my avatar and current dashboard????
    also, i downloaded stealth games and such but...
    will i be able to play games on xbox live without getting banned
    does anyone have suggestions about other firmwares i should use to keep my NXE dash? or any suggestions for me as i do now want to ruin my xbox
