Hi, I am new at soft modding, and screwed something up. My Hard drive is totally screwed up. I was in the process of modding my Xbox when my computer screwed up, and i had to turn off the comp. manually, now i plugged it back to the television. And when ipower it up, it says, "please contact customer service." how do i bypass this , and is there any program or file in which i can do something to the hard drive to reset it to factory settings. And how do i unlock my hard drive so i can get it back to factory settings and put these soft mod files in side of it. please help me

how did you mod your xbox in the first place? If you used a game exploit see if your xbox will load that game, then load the exploit to get access to the ftp.

Then you can ftp your backup files back on your xbox....

If you don't have backup files you aren't following directions or your using a horrible tutorial.

what error does it give you?

    7 - kernel - HDD timeout

Most of the times, the IDE cable is not properly connected when you see this error. Please reattach the ide cable. Not only to the harddisk drive but also to the dvd drive. ALso try to reconnect the ide cable to the motherboard.

Press pretty hard so it goes all the way in. Make sure it is seated straight and proper in the drives and the motherboard. If you still have an error 7. Try another ide cable. If that won't work try another harddisk. If there is still no go, try to set the jumpers on the rearside of the harddisk drive. Set it to master or cable select. If still no succes, good luck and sell your xbox to me rolleyes.gif

LOL i never read that before but if that doesn't work don't sell it to him, sell it to me...
