I have (or had) a modded xbox with evox dashboard. Unfortunately it fell off the shelf some time ago & the hd is now dead & all my games etc are now lost. I have been able to attach the original hd & it runs fine as it should. I want to reload evox & have slayers 2.7 auto installer which I have burned the iso to a dvd-rw, however when i put it in the xbox it doesn't recognise the disk. Do I need to start with a new blank hd or can i backup the original format it & use that one. Any help appreciated.

Is your current console modded. If not then no media other then original games will load. You'll have to re-softmod it.

as i said it was modded / chipped & was running evox before it fell of the shelf & the hard drive failed. All i have done is put the original back in, but i want the evox dashboard again. should i get a new hd & if so what do i need to do to it? or will slayers 2.7 iso load itself to a new blank hd? or do i need to do something else to the dirve first?
