Do I need to buy an specific type of HD to put in a xbox?

I'm keen to upgrade to something a lot bigger so I can backup my games etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

you can either put a chip in it, and use slayer, or, if not, you need to get a lockable hard drive (my personal preference is anything over 250gigs) and then you ahve to prep it in your Windows XP computer. I'm not on my home PC right now so i can't get you the links, but i will be sure to get them for you
    hope this helps

I have modded many many xbox's
I have had the best luck with MAXTOR drive.
Specifically the MAXTOR Diamond Max series, pretty much all new maxtor drives are this diamond max series anyway.
I have 3 xboxs myself 2 with Maxtor 300gigs and the other with a maxtor 250.
