I just got a new hard drive and I have my old HP computer here. I put the hd on master and then plug it into the Hp and then I have my xboxhdm boot cd. So i make sure it boots from cd first. Then Iit does that and I press option 1 and enter. It loads some files. Loads inirt.gz and goes on to the next screen and jsut stays blank. The keyboard seems frozen> I burnt the boot cd correctly too and I duno what could be the problem> I laso tried the hard drive on cable select and even user hd on the bios? Any one know hwy it wont work?
If your keyboard is frozen your hd isnt connected correctly, just try it again until the keyboard is unfrozen
It turned out that the pc was the problem. I had to go downstaires and use the other computer. I guess older pc's are not so good at this. It seemed the cd reader was not detecting the drive yet.
my personal experience with xboxhdm 1.9 is good however i had the opposite experience with it. my new pc's would not boot or would not lock the hdd, however when i put the disk in my old HP 400mhz it booted, completed the process, and locked the hdd. torrentmasta
Hmm, it could be also that my old HP was hit by lightening a while back although now it still works fine if it had a hard drive in it. I duno why it would not laod anything off of the cd after that certain point. You also have to watch out that your new pc doesnt have SATA connection cables too.
@arrhhgg i have a brand new pc not 5 months old and it works perfect for me its not as much as the pc but the motherboard the pc uses.....
quik question on xboxhdm does ur copy put a M$ dash on ur xbox cause mine doesnt all i get is evox i have noway to see my save files.im not sure what version mine is id have to boot it up to see which xboxhdm it is.or is ther another way to put the dash back on there to get my save files
well if your softmodded xbox has the ms dash on there then it should in xboxhdm 1.9 you put your C and E folder into your linux folder along with your eeprom and burn that iso it should copy that to your new HD exactly how your original....the only problem i had is my UDATA....
What ever you put on the linux cd, it will create on your new hard drive. I cant acess my xbxodash.xbe in unleash x for some reason. Its prolly because it did not copy it or something. Other than that everything else is fine.
im really not sure whats on the disc someone i met on another forum sent it to me.the xbox works fine and all cept for the original dash is missing.is there anyway to get the M$ dash back on?
yea i heard of that disc alot ive just been refraining from doin it but i guess if i want my M$ dash back i gotta do it thx bro.also i heard that if u put in a copy of a game with live on it and try to sign in itll work too but i havent had any success
To get your MS dash back just turn on the xbox by pressing the open tray button. You will be loaded to the MXM menu. Choose Restore ms back up and you will then have your original Ms dash back.
@selayan i didnt use the mechassault exploit i used xboxhdm,i did use it on my bros box and he has the M$ on his box i just dont know how to change the dash to something to other then mxm on his,i use avalaunch on mine as a application but evox is my main dash
Ah, Id id not know that you wanted to change the dash of MXM itself. I know you can do it, but I have not tried. I know you can also get skins for MXM too.
yea ive seasrched thru countless threads but no real answers.i saw this really cool one that was like the matrix reloaded with all the television screens in the architect room at the end of the movie but insted it had like all ur games on the screens it was pretty frickin cool but i havent found where to get it.i only saw it in a demo of what mxm can do
I have trouble making the boot cd. I have the C from slayers 2.6 but not E. when i click on make-iso-win a black box flashes on screen really fast and then nothing happens. am i missing something?
