hey guys ive got a major prob with my box and i was wondering if there was an easier solution to solving this then getting a restring cd.... first off i have a evolutionx dash somftmodded box and nothing else much i was trying to put this game (i thought was for xbox) on my hdd and found out it was in spanish, so i took the closest resembling file and dubbed it "default.xbe" and man was that stupid, my xbox then just stuck at the ms loading screen and didnt do anything else. I then decided to try and remod it allover again, but didnt have splinter cell and had to make due with the mechasault saves which i never had dealt with b4. (xbins was also down so i have to find the save on a french site :[ ) so i loaded the save and my xbox went into a black vast of nothing, and the lite on my xbox went orange and repeativley blinked for a course of 20-30 mins or so. Now i thought my quest was complete and i could be on my way to my freshly new dashboard. But nope still gets stuck at the loading screen, also whenever i try to load a game (another besides ma,sc,or 007) it starts "installing" about halfway through the intro with its black screen and blinking stupidity of orange. now is there anyway to "clean" my hdd, to delete the dash, or beable to ftp (because i cant ftp to xbox).??????? anyway i hope this question/story was detailed enough, i've posted on other forums who seem to be scratchy with answers.. could someone please help?? I am in your hands!!! btw if i alterted against the forum policy in anyway sorry and i will correct if needed. UPDATE: while i tried to stop the process of it blinking and probably screwing up my screen i went to unplug my box (seeing as how the power buttons wouldnt work) and i saw a few flashes of blue, now my xbox wont work and there is a gaping hole in my wall. cheers
Well during the hurricane my xbox did that not the orange lights that only happens when i try to run a linux os on my xbox without a usb keyboard or mouse. well if i cant start i usually just plug it out and then just plug it back in that always worked for me.
